Finding Your Way Around the Manual

One search from any page, a page per section, and what the red pill in the list means.

One search, and a key that opens it from anywhere

Press Ctrl + K (⌘ + K on a Mac) anywhere in the wiki and the search opens over the page. / does the same thing. Ctrl + K works even while you are typing in a box; / does not, so it stays an ordinary character in every text box.

Inside it: type, ↑ ↓ to move, Enter to open, Tab to narrow to one section, Esc to close. There is one search — the same overlay on a phone and on a desktop — so there is no second box to hunt for.

It matches your words, not your phrasing

You do not have to guess the sentence a page uses. Search finds every article that contains all of your words, wherever each of them sits, so "api key header" finds the page even though no page says that phrase.

It also reads the parts of a page that are not prose — tables, numbered steps, code samples and picture captions — and each result tells you which one it matched, with the line it found: Found in a table, Found in a step, Found in a code sample. That is usually enough to tell the right page from a near miss without opening either.

Every section has its own page

The manual is not only a list down the side. Each section — Getting Started, Minecraft Studio, Account & Billing and the rest — has a page of its own, with every article in it laid out and grouped. Click the section name in the sidebar, or its tile on the wiki's front page, and you land there; the chevron beside the name only folds the list open and shut.

It is the better way in when you do not yet know what the page you want is called.

A red "Not available" pill means the feature does not work today

Some entries in the lists carry a red Not available pill. It is the only red pill in the manual and it is not a plan tier: it means the thing that page describes does not work at the moment. The page is still worth reading — it opens with a banner saying what is broken and what to do instead — but you will not get the feature working by following it.

The 👍 and 👎 at the foot of every page are read, and they decide which pages get rewritten first — Getting Help explains what happens to a 👎 and the reason you attach to it.
