Do Credits Expire?

One year after purchase, oldest first — the balance popover warns you, and no email ever does.

The rule

The stated policy is that purchased credits expire 1 year after purchase. When you spend, the oldest credits go first, so the ones closest to expiring are always used up before the newer ones.

You are warned in the app, but never by email

There is a warning, and it is the one place to look: click your credit balance in the top bar and the popover tells you how many credits are expiring soon and when the next batch goes — "N credits expiring soon · Next batch expires in X". It only appears when you actually have credits ageing, so no line there means nothing is close.

What does not happen is an email. Despite the Token expiration alerts switch in your settings, no expiry reminder is ever sent, at any frequency (see Emails We Send, and How to Stop Them). So the balance popover is the whole warning system — check it rather than waiting to be told.

Profile → Usage does not help here: it shows what you spent and what you have, but no expiry dates at all.

Because the oldest go first, buying more credits never puts your existing ones at risk.
