Keyboard Shortcuts

Every key the Code Studio listens for — and how to change any of them.

Where the list lives

The Code Studio has a shortcuts panel of its own. Open a project, click your avatar in the top-right of the editor toolbar, and choose Keyboard Shortcuts. Everything below is in there too, so you never have to remember this page.

Opening things

KeysWhat it does
**Ctrl + P**Quick file search — jumps straight into the file search box
**Ctrl + S**Save every file you have changed, not only the one on screen — the same as the **Save N files** button on the toolbar. The app's own panel still calls it *Save current file*
**Ctrl + B**Build the project
**Ctrl + E**Export the project as a ZIP
**Esc**Close every open dialog

The builders and panels

KeysWhat it opens
**Ctrl + Shift + C**Command Builder
**Ctrl + Shift + E**Event Listener Builder
**Ctrl + Shift + G**GUI Builder
**Ctrl + Shift + P**Permissions Builder
**Ctrl + Shift + H**Version History
**Ctrl + Shift + D**Dependency Manager
**Ctrl + Shift + Y**plugin.yml Editor
**Ctrl + Shift + O**Organize the imports in the open file

Inside the editor

KeysWhat it does
**F12**Go to the definition of whatever the cursor is on
**Shift + F12**Find references
**Alt + Shift + F7**Find all usages
**Ctrl + F** · **Ctrl + H**Find in the file · find and replace
**Ctrl + Z** · **Ctrl + Shift + Z**Undo · redo
**Ctrl + /**Comment or uncomment the line
**Alt + ↑** · **Alt + ↓**Move the line up or down
**Ctrl + Space**Ask for autocomplete
**Ctrl + Click**Jump to the file of the thing you clicked — Java files, and only after turning on **Ctrl/Cmd+Click jumps to file** in the editor settings (it starts off)

Two entries in the app's own panel do nothing

The Code Studio's shortcuts panel also lists Ctrl + D — Duplicate line and Ctrl + Shift + M — Toggle Problems panel. Neither is wired to anything today: pressing Ctrl + Shift + M has no effect, and Ctrl + D does Monaco's own "add selection to next match" rather than duplicating a line. They are left out of the tables above on purpose.

Changing one — and the half you cannot change

In the shortcuts panel, press Customize, click the shortcut you want to change, and then press the combination you would rather use — it is recorded as you press it. Reset puts one back, and there is a reset for all of them.

This only works on the first two tables above — the 13 VyroAI actions: the five under Opening things and the eight builders and panels. Those are ours, and a rebind really takes effect.

Rebinding an editor key looks like it worked, and does not

Every key in the Inside the editor table — F12, Shift+F12, Alt+Shift+F7, Ctrl+F, Ctrl+H, Ctrl+Z, Ctrl+/, Alt+↑, Ctrl+Space — belongs to the code editor itself, not to VyroAI. Nothing reads a new binding for them.

The panel does not stop you, which is the trap: you press Customize, record a new combination, and it tells you it saved. What actually happens is that the old key keeps working and the new key does nothing. Do not rebuild your muscle memory around a change that was never applied — for these keys, use the ones in the table.

Two things a rebind will refuse

A combination the browser has already claimed — Ctrl+W, Ctrl+T, Ctrl+N — is refused with a message rather than silently doing nothing, because the browser would win anyway. A combination already used by another VyroAI shortcut is refused too, so you cannot end up with two actions on one key.

Your rebinds are stored in this browser, not on your account. A different computer, or a cleared browser, starts again from the defaults — worth knowing before you rebuild the whole set on a machine you borrow. On a Mac, ⌘ stands in for Ctrl.
