The Smaller IDE Tools

The smaller tools in the Code Studio's three-dot menu: Class Builder, Dependency Manager, Generate Documentation, Organize Imports and Clean Up Template.

The Tools menu

Most of this article lives behind the ⋯ menu at the right of the Code Studio toolbar — the three dots after the gear. It used to be an outline button labelled Tools; on 6 September 2026 that button and the overflow menu beside it became one menu, so if you are hunting for the word Tools on the bar, the ⋯ is what you want:

The menu adapts to the project you have open: Class Builder only appears for plugin, mod and Discord bot projects, Dependency Manager only for Java builds (plugins and mods), and Organize Imports only for project types that compile. Open a config or a web app and none of them is there — that is by design, not a fault.

Save all and Open beside are in this menu too — see Split Screen for when Open beside sits in the Build ▾ instead.

On a phone the same tools live under the More tab — see The Code Studio on a Phone.

Generate documentation

The docs generator reads your project's plugin.yml — the name, commands and permissions written in it — and builds the documentation from that. It does not read the rest of your code: the Configuration page is a fixed template with two example settings, and How-It-Works is the same general description of a Bukkit plugin for every project, so read both before you publish them. You pick the README sections it writes — Installation, Commands, Permissions, Configuration, FAQ, Changelog, License and Contributing — and it produces a README.md plus wiki pages (Commands, Permissions, Configuration, How-It-Works) straight into your project's files, where you edit them like anything else. It is the fastest way to produce the page people expect when you publish a plugin.

Bridge projects

If you have built two or more plugins that ought to talk to each other, the bridge wizard scaffolds a third plugin whose only job is to wire them together, and hands the AI a detailed brief so it can finish the integration on the first message. For networks there is a Velocity proxy option; BungeeCord is not one of the choices.

You start it from the projects list — pick Select projects… from the ⋯ menu beside New (or tick a card to start selecting), tick two or more projects and press Bridge. That is its only home; there is no Bridge entry in the Tools menu.

Where is this used?

The references panel answers that question, but there is nothing to type into. Put the cursor on a name in a Java file and press Shift + F12 or Alt + Shift + F7, or right-click it and pick Find All Usages. It lists every line in the project's .java files where that exact word appears. It matches the text, not the meaning, so something else with the same name shows up too, and in a bot, config or web project it finds nothing.

Keyboard shortcuts

There is a shortcuts panel listing everything the editor responds to, and VyroAI's own 13 shortcuts are yours to change. The editor's own keys — F12, Ctrl+F, Ctrl+Z and the rest — cannot be rebound, even though the panel accepts the change. Keyboard Shortcuts goes through the whole list and which half is which.

Resetting the IDE

If the editor gets into a strange state — wrong tabs open, a project that will not load — Reset IDE State clears the editor's local state in this browser: open tabs, the active file, and the cached project it was holding on to.

It is the one tool on this page that is not in the Tools menu: you find it in the menu under your avatar, top-right of the toolbar.

It clears what is stored in your browser: open tabs, the active file, the cached project — and any local, unsynced project that never reached the cloud. Projects that have synced, their files and their version history live on VyroAI and are untouched.

Try the reset before contacting support about a stuck editor. It fixes the common case in seconds. The one thing it can cost you is a project that only ever existed in this browser — if you have one that never synced, export it first.
