The six links a signed-out visitor gets, what each one is, and where the old Tools entry went.
Signed out, the bar across the top of every public page carries the same row:
The row is kept in one file and read by every public page, the 404 included. That is not a detail for its own sake: those menus used to be separate copies that had drifted apart, and the 404 — the one screen a lost visitor most needs a menu on — was the one missing Home, Guides and Benchmark.
The link says Guides; the address it opens is /resources. Same place, and it is the only entry whose label and path do not match.
It used to be labelled Resources on the home page and Guides on every other page, which is exactly the kind of drift the shared list ended.
Stand on the landing page and the row shows five links instead of six: Home is dropped, because you are already on it. Everywhere else the full six are there.
The link for the page you are on is drawn in full-strength text with a short gradient underline beneath it, so the menu always says where you are.
The home page used to carry a Tools entry in the menu. It was a same-page jump rather than a real destination, and it went away when the home page adopted the shared row.
What replaced it is on the page itself: the See all tools button beside Start building scrolls you down to the tool section without leaving the page.
On the home page and in this wiki, the full link row needs 1024 pixels. Between 820 and 1023 pixels — a tablet, or a narrow laptop window — the links fold into a ☰ button placed after Start building, which opens a small dropdown with the same links. Below 820 pixels — most phones — a menu button takes the row's place at the right-hand end of the bar; press it and a panel slides in from the right, headed Menu, with the same links stacked one per row.
The other public pages — Pricing, Guides, Benchmark, Dependencies, the generator pages and the rest — show the link row only from 1024 pixels wide and switch straight to the Menu panel below that, with no ☰ dropdown in between. Nothing is left out of either menu.
Beside the menu button sit the controls rather than the links. On the home page and in the wiki that is:
They open different forms: Sign in opens the sign-in form, and Start building opens the form for making a new account. The other public pages now show the same two doors: the light and dark toggle, the quiet Sign in, and the bright Start building beside it. The toggle and Sign in drop off the narrowest screens; Start building is always there. Pressing the VyroAI mark and wordmark on the left takes you home from anywhere.
Once you are signed in this same bar changes. In the wiki the buttons become Explore Tools, your avatar and a sign-out button; on Pricing and the other public pages they become your credit balance and your avatar, with no sign-out button. The navigation you use day to day moves into the sidebar on the left. Finding Your Way Around covers that screen.
